“My name is Dayana and I am 13 years old. My dream is to finish my studies, get a university degree, and travel to different parts of the world. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, drawing, and making crafts.
I believe that young people in the community face challenges such as depression and low self-esteem, sometimes we feel less than others because of social pressure and bullying.
My dream is for younger generations to be taught not to participate in bullying and to accept themselves as they are.
As for my school, I would like to see it bigger, cleaner, and tidier, to create a beautiful environment for learning”.

I dream of getting my bachelor’s degree in physical education and following in the footsteps of my idols in soccer to become a professional soccer player. I believe that youth in my community face significant challenges, such as limited access to education and the negative influence of social media.
My dream is for our community to become a safe place for young people to go out, play, and have fun freely.
As for my school, I would love to see it larger, with better-equipped classrooms and higher quality education, with more sports clubs and spaces to play. I think these changes would help all students reach their full potential”.

Although we are in a good geographical location for students from the community to attend, unfortunately, our facilities are limited. We lack a computer room and teachers’ lounge, in addition to facing challenges with the cleanliness and maintenance of the restrooms.
Additionally, the community faces the challenge of fostering family life and supporting those mothers and fathers who work in the informal sector. Our students face personal challenges at home, which makes it difficult for them to overcome fears and build their identity.
Also, the pandemic has generated an academic lag that still affects students. For us, the school represents hope for the community, being fundamental in the integral formation of girls, boys, and young people.
Our greatest dream as a school is that after improvements in infrastructure and resources, we can become an educational center that can serve the entire community. Our school is a pleasant and excellent place, where joy is present in every day.”
