“I would like to learn English, improve in math, and graduate from college. In my free time, I like to draw and watch movies.
I believe that young people have great challenges such as economic, psychological, and emotional problems. They also suffer from bullying. That is why I would like to offer my help and organize workshops to prevent bullying.
I seek support from Sponsor a School to see my school cleaner, with spotless walls, classrooms with fans, and better infrastructure in our bathrooms. I also want the children to be more educated through workshops that allow them to increase their potential and learn to be better people.”
—Yajaira, 17

I really like watching movies, drawing, and making suspense mini-stories.
I have seen that in my community, many young people feel depressed by family problems because many times, they are not understood. Some of them are led to bad habits like drugs or bullying.
I would like to help my community with what I can do and look for institutions that can join this dream of transforming the reality of our young people. I hope for a cleaner school with committees that help students, a better infrastructure, and not much dirtiness.”

One of the most pressing challenges we face as a community is the urgent need to improve the school’s infrastructure and pedestrian space, especially due to the constant presence of street vendors in the surrounding area.
In addition, students face daily challenges such as heavy traffic to get to and from school, fatigue due to after-school work, and the constant struggle against social media distractions.
My biggest dream is to be able to implement significant changes in the infrastructure, completely renovate the furniture for both students and teachers, and get the necessary support from the authorities to manage vehicular traffic and guarantee the safety of our students, thus avoiding possible accidents.”
